abv Glucanase 200 is a food grade enzyme preparation produced for the brewing industry. It conforms to the purity specification for food grade enzymes recommended by JEFCA and the FCC.
It is produced by fermentation of non GMO strains of Geosmithia emersonii and Penicillium funiculosum. Abv glucanase 200 is a multi component enzyme which hydrolyses beta glucans, pentosans and related carbohydrates of barley and malted barley.
abv Glucanase 200 works optimally in the brewhouse where it is added directly to the mash vessel along with the grist. It provides consistent source of beta glucanase which will assist efficient wort separation and prevent run-off problems which are associated with B-glucans and complex pentosans.
abv glucanase 200 can be used down stream to help increase filter throughput and reduce haze if beta glucans have been identified as the problem.
