abv Alphamylase TS is a thermostable bacterial alpha amylase preparation, manufactured conforming to the purity specification for food grade enzymes and recommended by JEFCA and the FCC. It has applications in the brewing and potable alcohol industries.

abv Alphamylase TS is derived from an non GMO strain of Bacillus licheniformis. It catalyzes the hydrolysis of amylose and amylopectin to soluble dextrins and oligosaccharides which are then hydrolyzed to glucose further downstream.

abv Alphamylase TS is a starch liquefying enzyme which can be used at higher temperatures than most other bacterial alpha-amylases. It has a particular application in starch reduction where a cereal cooker is employed.
